I just spent the last 3 days working with Jr. players and one of the areas we talked about was how GOLF is known as a "Gentlemen's Game". Honor, Integrity and Good Sportsmanship! Golf doesn't have any referres. Most of the time, we call ourselves on our own mistakes and Brian Davis set the example of the true meaning of how the game is suppose to be played! I encourage you to share this article with your child. We have so many different groups in sports these days that have a different belief system. Those who are VERY competitive.....winning is what counts and then there is the groups who say "Everyone" is a WINNER....there is no such thing as a LOSING team. Let's embrace being proud of our performance and learn the art of being tactful. Alot is said about a person who knows how to handle disappointment with grace & dignity. Thanks Brian Davis for a great example!

I am so excited about kicking off the new year this weekend with our "Weekend Warrior Series". To help grow and encourage participation for our Junior Golf Programs, I will be having a year long contest to see who has the most BIRDIES for 2010! Each Junior clinic is worth an allotted number of birdies. The goal is to have your child participate in as many clinics as they can & in return they will be given a birdie. Whoever has the most birdies by Dec. 31st will win one lesson a month for the entire year of 2011. I look forward to the new year and hope to see your kids out on the lesson tee.

Campbells Horse Lesson was amazing! The first time I forgot my camera so my wonderful hubby assumed it was a glorified pony ride:) To his amazement (looking at the pictures).....he quickly learned from the photos that our 3 1/2 year was truly taking a lesson. I think panic sunk in and he is apparently joining us for the next one.

What is my Target?

Don’t go in the water
Don’t slice it OB
Don’t hook it in the sand trap.
Don’t embarrass yourself

Most of you know exactly the thoughts I am talking about. These are thoughts that are adding shots to your score!

When golfers do not actively put good questions or statements into their heads, oftentimes stream of consciousness thinking puts negative thoughts in its place. Standing on the 1st Tee Box, imagine the difference between asking yourself.
“What if I slice and it goes Out of Bounds?” Or asking, “What’s my target?”
Or maybe “How did I bogey that last hole?” or “What is my target?”

Our minds are powerful and once a golfer is locked on a specific target, they are better at trusting their golf swings. Asking WHAT IS MY TARGET brings a golfer into the present. Next time on the course try and eliminate all the head chatter and only ask yourself one question…..What is my target?

Well let's see........Campbell learned how to ride her big girl bike a few weeks ago, then theres GOLF! She got to hit balls for the first time EVER and aside from her complete stubborness and born to hurt someone....she did pretty good:) Then there was her first baseball game. She sat thru the entire game and even stayed after to watch the fireworks.

The kid with ohhhh sooo many looks!!! Her face tells a story and shows the exact emotion she has going on. It cracks us up everytime!!!Did I mention, her mood can change with a blink of a eye......YES......that also means her mood does too:) She is such a hoot!!!

Little chef's needed!

Homemade pizzas, sundaes & cupcakes....... what else could a kiddo ask for! They had a blast rolling the dough, making there personal pizza, decorating there own cupcakes and covering their sundaes with all kinds of fun treats. It was a messy but fun day!!!!! Thanks to my memaw.......it got cleaned up much faster!!!!! Thanks to everyone who came and shared my special day!!!

Trick or Treat....Halloween 2008

Well little Miss thing was a "Strawberry" for Halloween. And might I say she was the cutest little Strawberry you ever layed eyes on! She was so excited to put on her costume and as we were getting ready to leave & take pictures she says"Mommy I don't like it anymore" as she is trying to RIP it off literally! After all that, she had a blast! She was on a sugar high and never had so many treats in her life. She learned real fast that Halloween is all about getting candy so that changed her attitude real quick! Every holiday is a milestone in her little life and ours. She will never be 2 again and that makes me sad. So no matter how there are days were she may try my patience to the max, I always try and remember we will never get this day back! Make the most of it:) God knows I adore that little Strawberry!

"My Fairygod Mother"

My fairy god mother is my Aunt Sandy....she is actually my god mother but as a child, I always refered to her as my Fairygod Mother. She is so fun loving and she was ALWAYS the first person I would call if I was in trouble. She has the most kid hearted sense about her even though she never had any kids of her own. Anyways, the spell she put on me when I was a kid was pasted on to my little girl! Campbell absolutely adores her. We have been home for over a week now and she still asks about Aunt Sandy and Marcia everyday. We love and miss you guys!

Disney World Sept. 2008

After dealing with the stress of Ike and then the aftermath of clean up, no electricty, no ice, a shortage of fuel...ect..... my parents finally conviced me to leave and take a trip to Florida to visit them (Although that left Brandon to deal with the situation by himself...and the dogs of course)I have to say......Going to visit them was a true joy and a huge relief off my chest....Thanks Mom & Dad!

As a kid, my parents brought my sister and I to Disney World at least once a month throughout our childhood. Everytime, it was just as special as the last. However this time, bringing Campbell for the first time was more magical than I could have ever imagined! The 4 days we were there was unbelievable! Campbell was so excited and showed no mercy in being quiet about it. It honesly was the best days of my life! Little Miss Campbell got to meet all her favorite friends from Pluto who we met first to Chip n Dale, Mickey and Minnie, Donald Duck, Cinderella, Belle, Princess Aurora, Ariel, Peter Pan & Wendy, The Fairy God Mother, Snow White, Daisy Duck, Winnie the Pooh, Tiger & Darby.........It was true MAGIC!

Well Father's Day has come and gone! I must admit, after trying to treat Brandon like a "King" wore me OUT! I need a day to recover:) Boy I am thankful I was born when I was. I am not sure I would have been able to keep up with the good ole fashion ways of waiting on your hubby like our grandmothers did (and moms too)! Thank god those years are OVER!!! I appreciate the help he gives us!

MeMaw's in Town.......

Well, MeMaw came to visit us for Mother's Day and my birthday. It was so nice to spend some quality time with the one person who raises the bar for any mom! Campbell got to really bond with good ole MeMaw and teared up when she realized her MeMaw had left. We went to the Aquarium and had lunch, went on a train ride with MeMaw and did the Exibit. Campbell's favorite was the train ride and the white tigers. For Mother's Day we went to the park and hung out by the pool. That was a big hit with little missy! On my birthday....well....it was all about me:) I went shopping while my mom entertained Campbell. Now that is a BREAK:) Thank you mom for the best Mother's Day and Birthday! We love you and miss you.....XXOO

Well, Brandon took off work today and off we went to feed the ducks.......Campbell's favorite! We hadn't been in awhile but she remember her little ducky friends. Before we could get out of the car....here they came. She was screaming with excitement. It was nice at first, but then they starting coming from the wood work. As they got more aggressive (I think it is mating season or something) Campbell starting saying "BACK" followed by a future soccer star KICK! Yes, I accidentally taught my daughter how to KICK. At first it started with telling Noah.....our dog (the hiper one) as we walk down the stairs......I say "back" and I push him with my foot that "looks" like a kick. I have done that ever since we have moved into our new house. He gets so darn excited and I am worried he will trip me and her. About two weeks ago she starting repeating BACK or MOVE and doing the same thing as me, but with a REAL KICK! Of course I correct her but she has been watching me for months! Then I also taught her how to kick a ball and how dance........to twirl and lean over mommy's leg and give a kick .......toes pointed of course. Needless to say, she has a true understanding of the word! just one more thing I can take credit for....he he. Look out to those of you who get in her way!

We went to the mall today and played on the playground. I had to many favorites too mention. We ate at McDonald's... and tried to find a outfit for my birthday party.....No such luck since I was having so much fun hiding in the clothes racks. For some reason it made mommy a little up tight:)
